The 2023 irrigation season has been much better than in previous years. While we are still in a drought, we saw significant relief from the snowpack we received this winter. We did not make it to an average year storage-wise, yet we had water to work with. Currently, depending on the weather and demand, we are trending to make it to September 15- October 1. The Board and Management, after considering the crop needs and Patron input, have decided to project an end to the irrigation season being September 15. Our goal is that this will help with planning and meeting all the needs within the district while potentially leaving some water in the reservoirs for the next season so they have a good chance to recover this winter/spring.
