2026 Irrigation Season Update

The Medford Irrigation District is preparing for the 2026 irrigation season amid ongoing drought conditions and a limited water supply in the region.

We plan to begin flushing canals and laterals the week of April 27th, with initial deliveries expected around May 4–11th. These dates are tentative and will depend on weather, customer demand, and available streamflow.

The Board of Directors will meet on May 13th to determine the timing for releasing our stored water supply. Given the drought and constrained supplies, these decisions will be critical to stretching our available water as effectively as possible throughout the season.

Patrons play a key role in making this season successful. We ask that everyone conserve water and use it as efficiently as possible so we can extend supplies as far into the season as conditions allow.

We will provide further updates as decisions are made and conditions evolve. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding during this challenging water year.
