Tom Brookins is a retired Battalion Chief from Jackson County Fire District #3, riding from the rank of Firefighter to Engineer, to Captain to Battalion Chief. He was a certified Paramedic, and EMS Coordinator and holds an AA Degree in Fire Science from Rogue Community College. He began his Fire Service career as a volunteer for the Eagle Point Fire Department at the age of 16 and ended his service as Fire Chief, 12 years later. To fill the void of retirement, Tom took a job in the Fire Alarms Division of Johnson Controls. His duties there included designing/engineering, installing, and testing Fire Alarm Systems. He retired from Johnson Controls in 2017 Tom has been married for 44 years and has 2 daughters and 5 grandchildren. His leisure time is spent working his land and following the antics of his grandkids Olivia, Ashley, Brooke, Paisley, and James. Life is good. He is honored to represent the landowners of Division E within the Medford Irrigation District.
